On May 6th, the 2025 China Zhejiang Textile Printing and Dyeing Industry Technology and Equipment Exhibition grandly opened at the Shaoxing International Convention and Exhibition Center. As the first professional exhibition focusing on the green and intelligent transformation of the textile printing and dyeing industry, this event was jointly organized by the Zhejiang Province Printing and Dyeing Industry Association and the Zhejiang Province Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center. It attracted industry experts, enterprise representatives, and research institutions from all over the country to jointly explore new paths for the high-quality development of the printing and dyeing industry.
Zhejiang is an important base for China's textile printing and dyeing industry, with a complete industrial chain and a profound industrial cultural heritage. As a core link in the textile industry, the printing and dyeing industry connects the upstream fiber manufacturing and the downstream garment and home textile industries. Its technological level and environmental protection capabilities directly affect the competitiveness of the entire industrial chain.
Against the backdrop of the global textile industry's green transformation, Zhejiang must seize the opportunity to promote the upgrading of the printing and dyeing industry towards high-end, intelligent and green development. This exhibition, with the theme of "Green Technology · Intelligent Future", focuses on green printing and dyeing technologies, intelligent equipment, chemical auxiliaries and other fields, aiming to build an international exchange platform and promote collaborative innovation along the industrial chain.
Technology empowerment and the collaboration among industry, academia, and research institutions have jointly addressed industry pain points. At the exhibition, many research institutions and enterprises showcased the latest green printing and dyeing technologies and intelligent solutions, with digitalization and low-carbon production being the highlights.
The Ecological Dyeing and Finishing Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center has highlighted its technological breakthroughs in low-water dyeing and digital printing. Composed of four expert teams and featuring over 30 senior technicians, the institute has established five pilot production lines. It has undertaken eight major provincial and ministerial-level projects. According to its relevant person in charge, "We have collaborated with companies such as Honghua Digital and Honglulan Textile to develop an 'moth-eye' structure deepening agent and an environmentally friendly water-based hot stamping technology. These have been successfully applied in the production lines of multiple enterprises, significantly reducing water and energy consumption."
The Sichuan Provincial Textile Research Institute presented the latest research progress of high-performance dyeing and finishing auxiliaries. Among them, the anti-static finishing agent, which was developed after eight months of dedicated research, stood out successfully. This product has high cost performance, can effectively control costs for enterprises and enhance product competitiveness. It also has excellent wash fastness, maintaining stable anti-static effects even after multiple washes, and has a very broad market application prospect. "We are committed to promoting in-depth research on high-performance dyeing and finishing auxiliaries and related dyeing and finishing technologies, and consolidating our research advantages in multiple细分 fields," said a relevant person in charge of the institute.
The Kechuang Textile Industry Technology Center of Jiangnan University has comprehensively showcased its numerous achievements in the upgrading of the textile industry, including light-absorbing and heat-generating paste and printing technology, photochromic materials, thermochromic materials, and nonionic non-foaming anti-phenol yellowing agents. "We have always focused on the field of new fabric dyeing and concentrated our scientific research efforts to overcome difficulties," said a relevant person in charge of the center. "At present, we have successfully broken through the technical bottlenecks in the printing of acetate fiber fabrics and plant dye printing technology. After repeated experiments and optimizations, the color fastness of the related fabrics has reached international standards and is fully capable of large-scale industrial application, which can bring new growth points and competitiveness to the textile industry."
Among the many participating enterprises, Hangzhou Wanshili Silk Technology Co., Ltd. stands out. As the "first stock of Chinese silk cultural and creative industry", Wanshili Silk has become a benchmark for the green transformation of the industry with its independently developed GBART waterless digital printing technology. It is reported that traditional printing and dyeing requires a large amount of water washing, while the GBART technology completely eliminates this step, achieving zero wastewater discharge. This technology has been successfully promoted to France, Fujian and other places, and has helped cooperative enterprises establish green demonstration factories. In addition, its IART double-sided digital printing and ICOLOR digital color management system have also significantly improved production efficiency and personalized customization capabilities.
Jiangsu Huihong International Group Zhongtian Holding Co., Ltd. has been deeply engaged in the fields of textile and apparel, technology equipment, etc., with business covering over 100 countries and regions around the world. At this exhibition, the company has brought over 550 products, featuring a rich and diverse product matrix that includes home wear fabrics, renewable fabrics, and more, catering to the diverse needs of different customer groups. The company actively practices the concept of green development and strictly controls the selection of raw materials for textile and apparel. The main products showcased at this exhibition have taken solid steps in the aspect of environmental protection and have attracted much attention from purchasers.
Intelligent Integration, Redrawing the New Coordinates of Global Textile Dyeing and Printing
Under the global carbon neutrality background, the dyeing and printing industry must accelerate technological innovation, reduce resource consumption and pollution emissions. Digitalization and intelligence are the core directions for future development. During the exhibition, several high-end forums were held successively, where industry experts and enterprise representatives jointly discussed the paths of intelligent and green transformation.
On the first day of the exhibition, the special event on the high-quality development of the printing and dyeing industry empowered by artificial intelligence and the "Ten Chains, Hundred Events, and Ten Thousand Enterprises" event for the printing and dyeing industry focused on in-depth discussions about the innovative application of AI technology in the printing and dyeing field. At the event site, a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony for the industrial brain was also held, marking the official launch of in-depth cooperation among all parties in the industry, academia, and research in the AI + printing and dyeing field, providing new impetus for the intelligent upgrade of the industry.
The 2025 New Printing and Dyeing Technology Forum covered three key topics: the development trends and progress of green printing and dyeing technologies, the collaborative innovation and development of printing and dyeing and printing and dyeing auxiliaries under the high tariffs of Sino-US trade, and the progress of digital printing technology. It comprehensively covered the key points of technological innovation and market transformation currently faced by the printing and dyeing industry. The 2025 Innovation Energy Gathering - Talent Matching Special Event for Functional Printing and Dyeing Auxiliaries and Materials Technology focused on in-depth exchanges in cutting-edge fields such as functional printing and dyeing auxiliaries, high-performance fiber materials, and bio-based technologies. Through special reports and talent matching, it aims to assist the printing and dyeing industry in its green and functional upgrades and build an efficient platform for collaborative innovation throughout the industrial chain.
The successful holding of this exhibition not only provided a platform for technological exchange and business cooperation in the industry, but also marked that China's textile printing and dyeing industry is accelerating its progress towards green and intelligent manufacturing. With more innovative technologies moving from theory to practice and achieving practical application, China's textile printing and dyeing industry will further consolidate and enhance its position in the global industrial chain through technological empowerment, and play a more crucial role.
